Diervilla splendens ‘G2X88544VAR’ (KODIAK® MIXX) is a new and very stable variegated Diervilla. KODIAK® MIXX produces a beautiful colorful mix of green variegated leaves with a creamy white margin and spectacular pink young shoots all season long. It blooms from early summer to fall with soft yellow flowers that are very attractive to bees and other insects. Diervilla KODIAK® MIXX is suitable for the border but is also excellent for use in a landscaping project. The plant thrives well in the sun but can also be used in a more shady and/or dry spot. KODIAK® MIXX has been won by R. Grazzini of Bellefonte (USA). Plant variety protection has been applied for. Valkplant BV from Hazerswoude will market the plant from March 2024 and has submitted it for testing.

The Precious Earth (Mosses) concept consists of outdoor-grown, moss-like plants in various species and colorful leaf hues that thrive in sunny conditions and are winter-hardy. These plants are low-maintenance and can be easily combined in gardens or containers. They are cultivated in a 13 cm PCR tray, which offers the advantage of reducing potting soil and transportation costs. The concept is inspired by the Lord of the Rings film, with the species names derived from characters in the movie. The film was set in a green, mossy environment. The recognizable names from the film attract a younger audience, and the label design, Precious Earth, also appeals to people. New species will soon be added to the concept. Precious Earth is highly suitable for distribution through garden centers, retail outlets, flower shops (ideal for floral arrangements), and wholesalers. The product is available year-round, marketed, and has been submitted for evaluation by Vof de Leeuw den Engelsen from Someren.

Hydrangea paniculata LIVING LITTLE ROSY® is a compact panicle hydrangea with dark green leaves and abundant flowering. The plant blooms for up to 100 days with white flowers that gradually turn dark pink. LIVING LITTLE ROSY® thrives well in a container and is winter-hardy down to -30°C. This Hydrangea is introduced to the market by Alex Schoemaker from Boskoop and produced by Hinrichs Pflanzen from Edewecht, Germany. It is available in sufficient quantities for delivery starting from July, with the first flower buds. Hinrichs Pflanzen has submitted the plant for evaluation.
