Diervilla splendens 'G2X88544VAR' (KODIAK® MIXX) is a new and highly stable variegated Diervilla. KODIAK® MIXX provides a stunning colorful mix of green variegated leaves with a creamy white edge and spectacular pink young shoots throughout the entire season. The plant blooms from early summer to fall, producing soft yellow flowers that are highly attractive to bees and other insects. Diervilla KODIAK® MIXX is suitable for borders but can also be excellently utilized in landscaping projects. The plant thrives in both sun and partial shade, as well as in dry conditions. KODIAK® MIXX was bred by R. Grazzini from Bellefonte (USA), and plant breeders' rights have been applied for. Valkplant BV from Hazerswoude will introduce the plant to the market starting from March 2024 and has submitted it for evaluation.
