Astilbe arendsii 'Go Go Red' is the first in the series of Astilbe continuous-flowering plants. After flowering fully in June-July, it starts flowering again from September until the first night frost. This is a unique feature! Astilbe arendsii 'Go Go Red' grows about 50-60 cm high and has normal green leaves. The flower is bright red in colour and its re-flowering in autumn makes this plant an eye-catcher in the garden. The plant was bred by the partnership Mr J.M.W. van der Meer and Mrs E.H. van der Meer-Godijn from Nieuwe Wetering. Plant breeders' rights protection has been applied for. The plant was submitted by and is also marketed by Compass Plants BV from Hillegom in collaboration with Hans van der Meer Potplanten from Nieuwe Wetering.
