Hydrangea serrata 'Gotemba Nishiki' (EUPHORIA PINK) is the first Hydrangea serrata whose leaves are as stunning as its flowers! In early spring, the plant sprouts intense pink leaves that take on an attractive silver edge. In spring and summer, the variegated leaves are a soft green with a white edge. As the temperature rises, the variegated leaves turns green and white, with the new shoots having a delicate pink tint. From mid-June to August, the flower heads burst from pale pink buds in beautiful bicoloured ruby red flowers with pale pink-white centres. This bushy and compact shrub grows 1 metre high, is hardy to -20C and excellent for borders and in pots in sun or shade. The plant has been bred by Nagasaki T. from Japan / Osco Garden and plant breeders' rights protection has been applied for. Van Son & Koot from Kaatsheuvel has submitted the plant for testing and is also marketing it.
