The 'World Bamboo Day' concept consists of a cart with 'Fargesia Rufa' bamboo in a chosen pot size, along with POS materials for consumer communication. A portion of the proceeds from each sold 'Fargesia Rufa' bamboo will be donated to plant a bamboo forest in Portugal, contributing to a healthier planet. The 'Fargesia Rufa' bamboo is a robust and versatile plant that is even winter-hardy and evergreen. Unlike invasive bamboo species, this Fargesia forms clumps that spread each year without producing runners. Besides its aesthetic appeal, planting bamboo is beneficial for air quality, as mature bamboo absorbs more CO2 and fine particulates than a mature tree. The concept is designed with a CC theme featuring side and top cards, as well as CC layer strips. The label also follows the World Bamboo Day theme. September 18 marks the annual 'World Bamboo Day,' aimed at raising awareness about bamboo and promoting global consciousness. The concept is suitable for sales through garden centers, hardware stores, supermarkets, and online platforms. What sets this concept apart is its unique combination of doing good at home while contributing to a European-certified CO2 offset project. Hoogeveen Plants BV from Hazerswoude is responsible for bringing this concept to the market. The goal is to offset 10,000 tons of CO2 annually, achievable through the sale of 1 million Fargesia Rufa plants per year.
