'Lumie' is a very good budding Rhododendron Hybrid with a beautiful large bud and flower. The bicoloured flower is unique and striking with its red edge and white interior. 'Lumie' is a natural early flowering variety (late March) with frost resistance down to -10°C. Due to its natural early flowering, 'Lumie' can easily be forced for Valentine's Day. It is currently available in pot C3 for spring 2023 and also in C5 for spring 2024. Block Jules N.V. of Lochristi (B) has submitted it for inspection and also holds the plant breeder's rights. 'Lumie' is commercially available from Block Jules Horiculture BV and a limited number of wholesalers.
