Mangave is an intergeneric hybrid and has the best of both parents: the durability and large, architectural shapes of Agave, the unique colours and markings of Manfreda. The softer spines also come from Manfreda, making Mangave easy to handle. The Mad about Mangave® series has many varieties with interesting shapes and colours. Mangave is available in pot sizes 13, 15, 19, 23 and 28 cm and is hardy to -5 ºC.
The Mad about Mangave® are beautiful in a pot or in full soil, but you can also mix them perfectly in a container with other succulents. 'Blazing Saddles' grows up to 20 cm high and 35 cm wide and is an incredibly tough addition to the Mad about Mangave® family with its striking green leaves with bright red dots. In fact, the leaves has so many dots sometimes that it looks like the leaves are solid red with green edges. In whatever way this Mangave® presents itself - it is the ultimate, super-tough, indoor-outdoor plant. The plant is marketed by F.N. Kempen from Mijdrecht, who also submitted it for testing.
