Hydrangea serrata ‘Gotemba Nishiki’ (EUPHORIA PINK) is the first Hydrangea serrata that doesn't need to bloom to be irresistible. The foliage is just as beautiful as the flowers! In early spring, the plant unfurls with intensely pink leaves that develop an exquisite silver edge. During spring and summer, the variegated leaves are soft green with a white border. As temperatures rise, the variegated leaves turn green and white, with new shoots taking on a pink hue. From mid-June to August, the flower heads burst from light pink buds into stunning two-toned ruby-red flowers with light pink-white hearts. This bushy and compact shrub reaches a height of 1 meter, is hardy down to -20°C, and is well-suited for borders and containers in both sun and shade. Van Son & Koot from Kaatsheuvel submitted the plant for evaluation and will also introduce it to the market. The plant comes with an inspirational label and is available in various pot sizes: P13, C3, C10, making it suitable for diverse segments.
