Spiraea japonica 'BB' has a leaf and flower shape unique to Spiraea. The leaves are oval shaped and dark green in color, the flowers are dark red. The plant grows to a maximum height of 60 cm and is not susceptible to mildew. The product is available from 2023 in P9 to C3 and very suitable for the retail channel. The plant has been bred by SAPHO from Ste Gemmes sur Loire (F) and is marketed by JC Niesing, Hoof Zevenaar and Hoogenraad. Van Vliet New Plants from Stroe has submitted the plant for inspection. Protection under plant breeding legislation has been applied for.
