Salvia sylvestris ‘GRUSALRP’ (RIANNE PURPLE)

Salvia sylvestris 'GRUSALRP' (RIANNE PURPLE) is a purple flowering plant with sturdy branches, with a height of leaves 10 to 15 cm and flower spikes of 20 to 25 cm. The leaves are pointed and dark green in color. The flower spikes are full of many flowers and bloom simultaneously over a long length. The first flowering is in the months of May and June. Cutting away the spent flowers promotes a second flowering after 4-5 weeks. This second bloom is less exuberant than the first bloom.
RIANNE PURPLE is protected by plant breeders' legislation and bred by Andre de Gruyter B.V. from Rockanje who also submitted the plant for inspection and is marketing it. At this moment the plant is only available for trial batches of young plants.
