Musa sikkimensis ‘Lou 1’ (EVER RED) grows quickly and vigorously and has breathtaking striped green with maroon leaves. This ornamental fruit adds a tropical look to the garden. The plant grows up to 4 metres high and 3 metres wide after 10 years and has an upright growth habit with slight curvature at the top. EVER RED likes a position in full sun or semi-shade and is hardy to -10°C. The plant was won by Bruno Chauvet of France and is protected by plant breeders' rights.
