Fagus sylvatica 'Icefire' is a narrow, upright variety of Fagus sylvatica. Its leaves are smaller and much finer textured compared to similar Fagus varieties, and they are green in color. In autumn, the leaves turn golden yellow. During winter, the leaves remain on the plant. This Fagus is highly winter-hardy and ideal for hedge planting.
