Ulmus pumila 'Die Heckenheldin' Queen Chlorophyll by Lüers Pflanzenhandel GmbH & Co. KG is an innovative hedge concept that introduces the resilience of elm to the deciduous hedge segment. The plant combines rapid growth with excellent climate resilience, creating a dense green hedge in a relatively short time.
Unlike many traditional hedge plants, Queen Chlorophyll tolerates both prolonged drought and wet conditions. It also contributes to a healthier microclimate by helping to retain soil moisture, providing shelter for pollinators and beneficial insects, and acting as a natural carbon sink.
The concept is available in 2-litre and 5-litre containers as well as ready-made hedge modules for balconies and terraces. A distinctive brand identity, crown logo and supporting point-of-sale materials help create strong consumer recognition and support retail sales.
Queen Chlorophyll has been developed for both private gardens and professional applications, including landscaping, public green spaces and commercial sites. A flexible production schedule ensures reliable availability throughout the main planting seasons.
Sustainable production is supported by MPS A+, GlobalG.A.P. and GlobalG.A.P. GRASP certifications. In addition, Lüers Pflanzenhandel is working with its partner Bio PLUS+ on the future introduction of an organically grown, completely peat-free production line, further strengthening the concept's sustainability credentials.
