Philadelphus ‘P1’ (PETITE PERFUME PINK)

Philadelphus 'P1' (PETITE PERFUME PINK) is the only Philadelphus with pink blooms. It blooms for about six weeks during the summer. The star-shaped pink flowers, about 4 cm in diameter, turn white and sweetly scented on the inside. This makes the flowers very attractive to bees and butterflies. The plant forms a nice compact shrub. The leaves are oval pointed and light green in colour. PETITE PERFUME PINK was won by Alan Postill of Hampsire, Great Britain, and is protected by plant breeders' rights. Van den Dool Cultures from Waddinxveen has submitted the plant for testing and is also putting it on the market.
