Mahonia eurybracteata ‘Hillmah’ (METEOR)
About Plants Zundert B.V. – Bloemen Young Plants B.V.
Mahonia eurybracteata ‘Hillmah’ (METEOR)

Mahonia eurybracteata 'Hillmah' (METEOR) is a striking, evergreen ornamental shrub with a distinctly architectural appearance. What sets METEOR apart is its deep red young foliage that emerges in spring and summer and gradually matures to a rich dark green by late summer and autumn. Combined with its non-spiny leaves, this variety offers not only strong visual appeal but also ease of handling for both consumers and professional landscapers.
From late August through November, METEOR produces large, bright yellow flower spikes that bring structure and colour to the garden. These impressive blooms are particularly valuable to bees and other pollinators, especially in autumn, when few other plants are in flower.
With its naturally compact and well-branched habit, METEOR is ideal for use in both gardens and containers. The plant was bred by Hillier Nurseries and Garden Centres in the United Kingdom. About Plants Zundert B.V. and Bloemen Young Plants B.V. will bring this Mahonia to market starting in 2025. The variety is protected by plant breeders’ rights and has been submitted for novelty evaluation by About Plants Zundert B.V. and Bloemen Young Plants B.V. Plantipp B.V. is managing this new variety.
