Lavandula intermedia 'Tesseract' (SENSATIONAL!) has a compact, upright growth habit and forms a well-branched plant about 60 cm in height and width. The flowers are sensationally large (11 cm) and intensely purple on densely flowered spikes. Due to reblooming, the plant has a long flowering period from summer to fall. Additionally, it has a very fine, floral fragrance. The foliage is broad, thick, and silver-colored. Lavandula intermedia 'Tesseract' (SENSATIONAL!) was bred by Peace Tree Farm LLC from Kintnersville (PA, USA) and is protected by plant breeders' rights. G. Hoogenraad BV from Ederveen markets the plant. The management is handled by Plantipp BV from IJsselstein, which also submitted the plant for inspection.
