Certiflower – scientifically proven pollinator-friendly and ready for the future
With Certiflower, Dümmen Orange introduces a new generation of perennials that are not only scientifically proven to attract pollinators, but also meet the expectations of today’s environmentally conscious consumer. This collection – including selections of Salvia, Delosperma and Lavandula – is the result of a three-year research collaboration with Naturalis Biodiversity Center. Breeding focused specifically on flower traits that enhance nectar production and foraging efficiency for bees, butterflies and other pollinators.
The result is a visually appealing and high-performing range of perennials that stand out both in the garden and at retail. These plants are heat-tolerant, low-maintenance, flower from May to September, and require no growth regulators (PGRs). Suitable for both containers and garden borders, they offer flexibility for a broad range of consumers.
Certiflower aligns perfectly with current themes such as biodiversity, sustainability and climate resilience, and offers a distinctive concept for garden centres, florists and other retail channels. Larger pot sizes are aimed at garden centres, while more compact versions are available for other retailers. Optional POS support includes branded labels, table signage or CC-trolley displays.
Sales in the Netherlands are managed directly by Dümmen Orange. In other European countries, distribution is handled via agencies. Brought to market by FN van Kempen and Mts. van de Wetering. Sustainably grown under MPS certification.
