Buddleja Butterfly Candy® “Little Bubblegum”: candy pink eye-catcher for gardens and public green spaces
Buddleja davidii “Botex 014” (BUTTERFLY CANDY® “LITTLE BUBBLEGUM”) is a striking newcomer to the Buddleja segment. What makes this variety unique is its strikingly intense pink flower colour, currently the brightest candy pink shade in the Buddleja range. The flowers form a powerful contrast with the fresh green foliage, making this plant a real eye-catcher.

The Buddleja Butterfly Candy® series comprises beautiful butterfly bushes with sturdy, double flower panicles that are available in multiple colours. A great feature of this selection is its compact growth, allowing the butterflies that flock to the flowers to be admired. Butterfly bushes thrive in a sunny spot with well-drained soil. Because this butterfly bush flowers on the branches that have grown that same year, you can cut the plant back to 15 cm above the ground in March or April. This will prevent the plant from growing much taller than 80 cm. Protected by plant breeders' rights no. 20242105, propagation is prohibited!

This compact butterfly bush was developed from seedling selection and was selected by Botanic Experience in Kaatsheuvel. Little Bubblegum is protected by plant breeders' rights and is suitable for both gardens and public green spaces.
It has been on the market since August 2025, with an initial run of 5,000 plants for spring 2026. Available through daily trade and at various trade fairs. Van Son & Koot b.v. is responsible for its introduction.
