Astilbe japonica 'Luna' has healthy green foliage. The leaves form a beautiful contrast with the luminous lilac-pink flowers. The plant is compact, growing to a maximum height of 50-60 cm, and blooms in May-June with beautiful flower plumes. With its striking, luminous lilac-pink flower color, 'Luna' distinguishes itself from other cultivars. Astilbe japonica 'Luna' was bred by Hans van der Meer from Nieuwe Wetering, and plant breeder's rights have been applied for. The plant was submitted for the novelty inspection by Compass Plants B.V. in collaboration with Hans van der Meer Potplants. They are also responsible for bringing the plant to market.
