Astilbe arendsii 'Red Drumset' – a compact red eye-catcher for garden and container
Astilbe arendsii 'Red Drumset' stands out immediately with its bright red flowers and striking red flower stems. This compact selection (approximately 70 cm tall) blooms in June and July, making it a true highlight of the early summer season.
Its healthy green foliage provides a strong contrast to the vivid floral tones. Thanks to its compact growth habit, 'Red Drumset' is well suited for both garden use and container planting on patios or balconies.

This mutation was bred by H.G.J. Verduin from Heemskerk and has been available on the market since spring 2024, distributed by Compass Plants B.V. in cooperation with the breeder. The combination of red blooms, red stems, and a strong, compact structure makes it a valuable addition to the current Astilbe range.
