Agapanthus 'Lady Lauren'® : A reblooming eyecatcher with a personal story
Agapanthus 'Lady Lauren'® is an evergreen, profusely flowering cultivar that stands out for its large, full white blooms and exceptionally long flowering period. While many Agapanthus varieties bloom for only a short time, this cultivar continues to flower non-stop under the right conditions, something clearly demonstrated in the greenhouses of Agapanthus BV.
This new Agapanthus is one of the first results from the breeding programme of Agapanthus BV and was selected by Tim Wyckstandt, founder and director of the company. The name 'Lady Lauren' refers to his wife Lauren, who actively helps in the nursery and welcomes customers during open days. A personal touch that makes this introduction even more special.
What distinguishes this cultivar is not only its abundance of flowers, but also the number of flower stems and the pure white colour of the flowers. According to Agapanthus BV, this is currently the most abundant and continuously flowering white Agapanthus on the market. Since its introduction in 2023, “Lady Lauren”® has been exclusively available from Agapanthus BV. From 2026 onwards, the plant material will be more widely available through propagators such as Vitro Westland, Gootjes All Plants and Deroose Plants.
