With First Editions® Spring Sizzle® Hydrangea paniculata, zu Jeddeloh Pflanzenhandels GmbH enters the Green Retail Award competition in the Visitor’s Favourite category. This new panicle hydrangea stands out because of its exceptionally early flowering, its rapid and intense colour development and its strong overall plant performance.
Large, creamy white flower panicles appear early in the season and quickly transform into a deep, dark red colour. This distinguishes Spring Sizzle® from many comparable varieties, which generally develop their colour later and less intensely.
The cultivar combines excellent genetics with outstanding garden performance. It produces a large number of sizeable flower panicles and develops strong, sturdy stems that support the abundant flowering with ease. Its compact and well-balanced growth habit makes it equally suitable for garden planting and for containers on patios and balconies.
With its early flowering, abundant blooms and remarkable colour transformation, Spring Sizzle® adds a distinctive new characteristic to the panicle hydrangea assortment. Its long-lasting ornamental value and reliable performance make it an attractive choice for both retailers and consumers.
