Buddleja davidii ‘Botex 16’ (BUTTERFLY CANDY LITTLE BLACKBERRY) is a striking addition to the Butterfly Candy collection. A defining characteristic of this series is its compact growth habit, making the plants particularly well suited to smaller gardens, patios, balconies, and container planting. This new variety also stands out for its eye-catching deep purple flowers, which emerge from exceptionally dark flower buds. Combined with the grey-green foliage, this creates a strong colour contrast, allowing the plant to make an immediate visual impact both on the patio and in garden borders.
The cultivar is suitable for both the consumer market and the professional landscaping sector. The plant originated from a seedling and was bred by Botanic Experience B.V. The variety is protected by Plant Breeders' Rights. BUTTERFLY CANDY LITTLE BLACKBERRY will be available from spring 2027 through Van Son & Koot B.V.
